Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders; develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver patient and caregiver education to support communication goals and swallowing safety.
- Document assessments, treatment interventions, progress notes, and discharge planning with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team; participate in rounds, care planning, and transition/discharge processes.
- Adhere to state and federal regulatory license, certification and accrediting requirement guidelines; maintain professional standards and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and compliance with applicable state and federal licensure, certification and accreditation guidelines.
- Experience providing diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
- Ability to work effectively in an acute care setting as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
