CONCRETE FOREMAN
Full-Time | Field Position | Competitive Pay Based on Experience
About the Opportunity
Carcel & G Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a field crew on heavy civil, roadway, site-development, utility, and related concrete projects. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can plan the work, direct a crew, solve field problems, and work alongside the team when needed.
The right candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, understands concrete operations from layout through completion, and knows how to keep a crew working safely and productively.
What You Will Do
- Lead, direct, train, and work alongside concrete laborers, finishers, operators, and other assigned crew members.
- Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, schedules, and daily production goals and clearly communicate the work plan to the crew.
- Lay out concrete work and verify lines, grades, elevations, slopes, dimensions, formwork, reinforcing steel, embeds, anchor bolts, and joints before placement.
- Plan and coordinate pours, including manpower, equipment, concrete quantities, delivery timing, placement, testing, finishing, curing, protection, and cleanup.
- Oversee and perform forming, bracing, reinforcing, placing, vibrating, screeding, finishing, curing, saw cutting, stripping forms, and patching.
- Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, survey personnel, inspectors, testing laboratories, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
- Monitor workmanship and production, correct deficiencies, protect completed work, and minimize waste, rework, and damage.
- Complete required daily reports for crew hours, quantities, deliveries, equipment, delays, inspections, testing, incidents, and completed work.
- Conduct pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and daily crew communication while enforcing company and project safety requirements.
- Report injuries, near misses, property or equipment damage, plan conflicts, and conditions that may affect safety, quality, cost, or schedule.
- Assist with other jobsite duties as needed to get the job done safely and successfully, including general labor, cleanup, traffic control, or supporting another crew.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience performing and leading commercial, industrial, roadway, structural, or heavy-civil concrete work.
- Strong knowledge of forming, reinforcing, placement, consolidation, finishing, curing, and concrete quality control.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and understand grades, elevations, layout, and dimensions.
- Ability to plan work, supervise employees, communicate clearly, solve field problems, and coordinate with multiple parties.
- Ability to perform construction math, estimate concrete quantities, and complete accurate daily documentation.
- Strong safety awareness, dependable attendance, and willingness to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is required for the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training.
- First Aid/CPR, silica, rigging, competent-person, or other construction-safety training.
- Experience with heavy civil, roadway, drainage, utility, or site-development projects.

Physical Requirements
This position works primarily outdoors on active construction sites and requires extended standing and walking; climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling; use of hand and power tools; work on uneven surfaces and around excavations; and lifting or carrying construction materials and equipment consistent with the assignment, with or without reasonable accommodation. Travel to assigned projects and schedule flexibility may be required.
Pay: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour
