Asbestos Abatement MD Licensed Worker
An abatement company located in Baltimore, MD is looking for asbestos abatement workers. The abatement worker performs manual labor to aid in the abatement of asbestos containing materials removed during demolition projects. Individuals would report directly to and take direction from the Asbestos Supervisor on any demo jobsite. MUST HAVE CURRENT ASBESTOS LICENSE.

Skills, Abilities and Experience
Currently Licensed Asbestos Worker with experience in a dynamic construction site, removing asbestos containing materials, use of hand and power tools, use of respirator and required personal protective equipment.
Role and Responsibilities
- Removal of construction materials containing asbestos from buildings, building components, structures and facilities utilizing removal methods in compliance with OSHA, EPA and local air quality management district regulations.
- Packaging of asbestos containing wastes in preparation for disposal as hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste.
- Preparation of work area controls; maintains a safe and clean environment.
- Wets asbestos containing material to minimize airborne particles and applies encapsulant to work area.
- Follows company policies. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Clean up work site and secure/decontaminate self, areas, tools, and personal clothing using a HEPA vacuum and/or wash area.
- Experience with demo, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Must be familiar with operating tools for interior demolition, demo jobsite duties, cleanup, and safety procedures.
- Use hand held and power tools such as burke bars, hammers, crow bars, grinders, saws, floor buffers.
- Use proper hazardous abatement PPE, including respirator, steel toe boots, safety glasses gloves, etc.
- Wears a respirator (up to full face PAPR) for entire work shift (except for breaks).
- MUST HAVE CURRENT MARYLAND ASBESTOS LICENSE.
Salary: $29/hr
