Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Luxury Hair Braider to join our vibrant beauty team! As a key contributor, you will bring your expertise in intricate braiding techniques, hair styling, and hair care to create stunning looks that elevate our clients’ confidence and style. Your passion for the beauty industry, combined with exceptional customer service skills, will ensure every client leaves feeling pampered and beautiful. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your artistry while working in a lively, supportive environment that values creativity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of luxury braiding styles, including intricate cornrows, box braids, twists, and more, tailored to each client’s preferences.
Provide expert hair care advice, including recommendations for hair extensions, coloring, and maintenance routines.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each client.
Utilize salon software systems such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, hair extensions, and accessories to enhance client results.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired looks and educate them on proper hair care techniques.
Support store management in front desk duties, including greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations.
Mentor junior team members in hairstyling techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence.
Stay current on industry trends such as hair coloring techniques, hair threading, eyelash extensions, and nail care to provide comprehensive beauty services.

Experience

Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on hair styling and braiding techniques.
Familiarity with salon software platforms like MINDBODY or similar systems for appointment scheduling and client management.
Strong knowledge of hair care products, hair extensions, coloring theory, barbering basics, and sanitation protocols.
Excellent communication skills for client consultations and retail upselling opportunities.
Experience working with diverse hair types and textures to deliver customized styling solutions.
Ability to manage retail sales transactions accurately using retail math principles.
Prior mentoring or training experience is a plus for supporting team development efforts.
