Overview

We are seeking a personable and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our salon. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and team members, offering a smooth transition into service and providing a professional experience at all times. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help maintain an efficient office environment, supporting daily operations with enthusiasm and precision. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise while contributing to a dynamic team dedicated to excellence.

Duties

Greet visitors warmly and direct them appropriately, ensuring a positive first impression
Manage multi-line phone systems, fielding inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Schedule appointments and coordinate calendar management for staff, assist with basic bookkeeping tasks
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using the payment operating system
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, filing, and document organization to keep the office streamlined
Provide customer support by responding promptly to client inquiries via phone or email, maintaining excellent client communication
Support office management tasks such as supply ordering, filing systems, and general clerical duties
Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity, ensuring high-quality communication at all times
Maintain a tidy reception area that reflects a professional environment
Handled point-of-sale transactions, including customer checkout and service payment processing.

Qualifications

Experience in office management or administrative roles, preferably as a front desk or receptionist
Strong computer literacy with proficiency in order to troubleshoot technical issues
Excellent phone etiquette with experience managing multi-line phone systems and phone communication skills
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs effectively (Spanish, English)
Familiarity with data entry, filing systems, and clerical procedures to ensure organizational efficiency
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional attitude
Technical proficiency in office equipment such as printers, scanners, and office management tools
Experience in medical or dental receptionist roles is advantageous but not required; personal assistant experience also valued
Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
