Position Overview

Mary's Land Farm & Inn is seeking an accomplished and creative culinary professional to help develop and lead a distinctive farm-to-table food program at one of Maryland's most unique hospitality destinations.

This is not a traditional restaurant position. It is an opportunity to combine exceptional cooking, genuine hospitality, and the beauty of a working farm to create memorable experiences for guests staying at our boutique Inn. About Mary's Land Farm & Inn

Nestled on more than 160 acres in Howard County, Maryland, Mary's Land Farm is a working farm, boutique Inn, and hospitality destination where agriculture, hospitality, and community come together. Guests enjoy more than overnight accommodations. They experience the rhythms of a working farm, beautiful natural surroundings, and thoughtfully prepared food that reflects the seasons and the land.

The Opportunity

This position offers a refreshing alternative to the traditional restaurant environment. The role is centered primarily around daytime hospitality and guest experiences, allowing you to continue practicing your craft while enjoying a more balanced lifestyle.

You will have the opportunity to develop menus, create memorable guest experiences, and help define the culinary identity of Mary's Land Farm & Inn. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys creativity, values quality over volume, and wants to be part of building something special.

How You Will Make an Impact

· Prepare elevated breakfasts for Inn guests.

· Develop seasonal farm-inspired menus.

· Bake breads, pastries, and specialty items.

· Utilize fresh ingredients from the farm whenever possible.

· Create memorable culinary experiences that reflect the character of the property.

· Collaborate with the hospitality team to continually enhance the guest experience.

· Assist with purchasing, menu planning, inventory, and kitchen organization.

· Maintain exceptional food quality, sanitation, and presentation standards.

· Help shape the long-term vision of the Inn's culinary program.

Schedule

This is a full-time position focused primarily on daytime operations and guest hospitality. Weekend availability is important, as weekends are an essential part of the Inn's guest experience. From time to time, the Chef may participate in special culinary events or unique guest experiences, but the position is intentionally designed around a daytime-focused schedule rather than traditional late-night restaurant service.

On-Site Housing

For the right candidate, on-site housing may be available as part of the overall compensation package. Living on the farm offers a unique opportunity to become part of the property's daily rhythm while enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the surrounding countryside.
