Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Marine Crane Service Technicians / Mechanical Fitters to join our team for onboard maintenance projects. The selected candidates will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, dismantling, and replacing jib bearings on marine cranes, along with testing and servicing the equipment after installation.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and inspect marine crane jib bearing systems.
Inspect bearing seating, pins, bushes, and surrounding crane structure.
Dismantle and remove damaged or worn jib bearings.
Install and fit new jib bearings.
Perform alignment checks and operational testing after installation.
Prepare service reports with inspection findings and recommendations.
Follow marine safety procedures while working onboard vessels.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in marine crane maintenance or heavy equipment servicing.
Knowledge of bearing replacement, mechanical fitting, and alignment.
Familiarity with hydraulic tools, bearing pullers, torque tools, and lifting equipment.
Ability to read mechanical drawings is an advantage.
Experience working onboard ships or offshore projects is preferred.
