Operations Manager

Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine

Pay: $70,000 – $100,000 base salary

Job Type: Full-time, Salaried (W-2)

About the Company:

Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine is the full-service window and door replacement division of Andersen Corporation, serving the Greater Maine region. We design, build, and install premium replacement windows and patio doors, backed by a commitment to quality workmanship, customer care, and continuous professional development for our team.

Position Overview:

Our Operations Managers lead day-to-day operations for their assigned department within Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine. We operate a departmental Operations Manager model. Each Operations Manager focuses on a single department while covering peers as operational needs require. The Operations department includes Installation, Service, Project Management, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Logistics. This role carries equal responsibility for people and performance: leading, developing, and holding personnel within the department accountable, while owning the metrics, budget, and process outcomes that define its success. Operations Managers report directly to the Director of Operations.

Core Responsibilities

Departmental Leadership

Own the overall performance and daily operation of the assigned department.
Lead, coach, schedule, and develop department personnel; set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to them.
Conduct performance management reviews, corrective action, recognition, and development planning in partnership with HR and the Director of Operations.
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training for department roles.
Cover other Operations Managers and their departments' leadership as operational needs require.

Metrics & Performance Ownership

Own the key performance indicators for the assigned department and drive measurable improvement against targets.
Track, analyze, and report on departmental metrics (e.g., quality, First-Time-Through, NPS, throughput, cycle time, cost, and safety, as applicable to the department).
Identify root causes of recurring issues in conjunction with Quality Control and lead corrective-action and process-improvement efforts.
Provide regular performance reporting and updates to the Director of Operations.

Budget & Resource Responsibility

Carry budget responsibility for the assigned department, including labor, materials, cost-control targets, and more as applicable.
Manage resource allocation, scheduling, and capacity to meet commitments efficiently.
Make and justify staffing, vendor, and spend decisions within authority.

Process, Quality & Compliance

Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures within the department.
Uphold quality standards and ensure work meets Company Standards and customer expectations.
Ensure compliance with safety requirements and applicable regulatory obligations (e.g., OSHA, lead-safe/RRP where applicable).
Support compliance with insurance, licensing, and agreement requirements in coordination with the Director of Operations.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Coordinate handoffs and communication with adjacent departments (Sales, Back Office, Customer Care, and other operations teams) to ensure smooth project flow.
Serve as the primary escalation point for issues within the department; resolve or escalate appropriately.
Contribute to cross-departmental initiatives and continuous-improvement efforts across the operation.

Skills, Tools & Platforms

Proficiency with operational and CRM platforms used across the business, including the Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and Smartsheet (preferred).
Strong data literacy, ability to build, read, and act on performance metrics and reporting.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving under operational pressure.

Requirements & Qualifications

Demonstrated people-management experience, including direct supervision, performance management, and team development.
Commercial and/or residential construction experience

Preferred:

Operational and technical background in a relevant field.
Window and door industry experience.
Technology proficiency across operational, CRM, and reporting platforms.
Experience owning a budget and a set of performance metrics.
Renewal by Andersen maintains a drug- and alcohol-free workplace, both at our facilities and at homeowner locations.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate RbA vehicles as needed.
Ability to take direction and give and receive constructive feedback.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: $70,000 – $100,000, commensurate with department, experience, and scope.
Total target compensation up to $135,000, including a performance-based incentive.

Schedule

Full-time, salaried.
Normal business office hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with work as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.

Office-based in Bangor, ME 04401, with travel as needed throughout Maine. Occasional out-of-state travel for team-building and corporate events.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
