Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team! In this role, you will be at the forefront of expanding our client base, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through innovative business development strategies. Your energetic approach and strong relationship management skills will help us unlock new market opportunities and elevate our brand presence. This position offers an exciting chance to work in a fast-paced environment where your proactive mindset and strategic thinking will make a tangible impact on our company's success.

Pay: $75,000 annual base salary + commission

Location: Based in Riverside, CA office

Job Duties:

Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities.
Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and consistently develop new opportunities.
Prospect for new customers through outbound calls, networking, referrals, industry events, digital outreach, and other business development activities.
Uncover customer needs, pain points, operational challenges, and business objectives to develop tailored logistics solutions.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer, prospect, and opportunity information.
Develop customized solutions in collaboration with operations, pricing, technology, product, and other internal teams.
Prepare and present pricing, proposals, service recommendations, and business solutions to prospective and existing customers.
Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through negotiation, contract award, and implementation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and implementation of new customer accounts.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and key decision-makers.
Monitor sales activity and performance against established KPIs, including calls, meetings, qualified opportunities, revenue, gross profit, and new customer acquisition.
Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and profitability goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and emerging logistics solutions.
Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
3–5 years of sales or business development experience within the freight forwarding transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
Demonstrated record of sales success and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
Valid driver's license.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with decision-makers and effectively communicate with customers at multiple levels.
Strong consultative selling skills, with the ability to communicate business value and solutions rather than simply selling products or services.
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical, commercially viable solutions.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with profit and loss concepts, gross margins, pricing, operating expenses, capital and revenue expenditures, and cash flow are preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
