Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships, the Healthcare Data Analyst supports CommunityHealth's mission by transforming data into meaningful insights that improve patient care, organizational performance, and operational effectiveness. Working collaboratively with clinical, operational, and administrative teams, this role develops reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and the organization's long-term growth.
The Healthcare Data Analyst serves as a valued partner to departments across CommunityHealth, helping leaders answer key business questions, measure progress toward strategic goals, and improve the accessibility and use of organizational data. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of organizational data while identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate workflows, and strengthen a culture of data-informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data management, including collection, entry, manipulation, analysis, timely reporting, and visualization.
- Use statistical approaches to analyze data from multiple sources and synthesizes results into meaningful reports and presentations, accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Perform in-depth research and analysis to answer key business questions and contribute to strategic recommendations that are consumable and actionable.
- Collect, identify, and analyze key performance indicators to measure performance and progress toward strategic goals, presenting findings in a compelling and comprehensible way.
- Serve as a trusted partner to clinical, operational, and administrative departments to define meaningful metrics aligned with organizational goals and patient impact.
- Facilitate intra-departmental, cross-departmental, and cross-organizational project teams, with a focus on continuous improvement.Help foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and data-informed decision-making across CommunityHealth.
- Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvement, and enhanced data accessibility.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and quality for all activities.
- Represent CommunityHealth in partnerships, coalitions, task forces and committees that further the mission.
- Stay informed on healthcare analytics trends, reporting tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a community health center, public health setting, or other relevant experience
- Minimum two years of experience in data modeling, informatics, and/or analysis
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including but not limited to interpreting alpha-numeric data and identifying outliers and trends
- Proficiency in preparing spreadsheets, graphs, dashboards, and other presentation materials
- Skilled communicator with ability to engage diverse audiences in reporting opportunities and data findings
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects to meet established deadlines
- Proficient in compiling information from multiple sources
- Attention to detail with excellent proof reading, quality assurance, and editing skills

This role is based in Chicago, IL. Applicants must be able to commute to our location for onsite work at least 2 days/week.

Compensation
- Starting salary range: $67,275 - 72,500 annually, commensurate with experience
