Your Role: Painter
As a Painter, you’ll be part of a skilled crew bringing residential and light commercial projects to life. From surface prep to custom finishes, you’ll work closely with Lead Painters and Site Supervisors to deliver high-quality results while developing your skills and supporting a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Craftsmanship & Execution
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Apply paint, stains, primers, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Execute skilled drywall work and other surface finishing tasks
- Perform custom paint jobs per client specifications and color schemes
- Mix and select paint according to project requirements
- Maintain protective coverings on floors, furniture, and trim during projects
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure long-lasting finishes
Teamwork & Coordination
- Assist Lead Painters in daily operations and task execution
- Assemble and maintain scaffolding or other jobsite equipment as needed
- Communicate clearly with crew members and supervisors
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Growth & Professionalism
- Take initiative and ownership of your work
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Contribute to a respectful, productive, and detail-oriented jobsite culture
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of painting experience (interior and exterior)
- Familiarity with high-end residential painting
- Dependable work ethic and strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction, work hard, and collaborate well with others
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Bar Harbor area
- A commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and continual growth
- Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screening
