Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. You will be the backbone of our food service operation, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are sanitized and ready for use. Duties

Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, sinks, and storage areas in accordance with sanitation standards
Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision
Support bussing duties by clearing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a tidy environment for guests
Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, or other culinary tools as directed by the chef or supervisor
Support catering and banquet setups by ensuring dishes and utensils are ready for service in fast-paced environments

Qualifications

Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices aligned with food safety management standards
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts
Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous
Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards including proper manual handling techniques
Experience in catering, hotel kitchens, or banquet settings is a plus but not mandatory
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team
