Overview
The Marketing Coordinator plays a central role in advancing Kentucky’s Credit Unions’ mission by supporting and executing the League’s marketing, communications, and event activities. This is a hands-on, creative role focused on producing compelling content, managing the League’s brand and digital presence, and helping promote the programs, products, and services that serve credit unions across the Commonwealth. Working closely with League staff and member credit unions, the Marketing Coordinator helps grow engagement, participation, and non-dues revenue. Success in this role requires strong writing and design skills, excellent organization and attention to detail, and a genuine passion for the cooperative movement and the credit unions it serves.
Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Support:
- Write, edit, and proofread copy across a range of channels, including newsletters, emails, web pages, press releases, event materials, and member communications, maintaining a clear and consistent brand voice.
- Develop, schedule, and publish content for the League’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others), monitor engagement, and respond to comments and messages.
- Design and produce marketing collateral and member-facing materials—flyers, graphics, presentations, digital ads, and signage—using Canva or similar design tools.
- Maintain and update the League’s website, keeping content, event listings, and resources current and accurate.
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns and manage HubSpot/CRM administration, including list management, scheduling, and monthly activity and engagement reporting.
- Provide marketing and logistical support for League events, conferences, and meetings, including promotion, registration materials, signage, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up.
- Assist in planning and promoting webinars, networking events, and member programs throughout the Commonwealth.
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns that promote League programs, products, and services and help grow participation and non-dues revenue.
- Capture and organize photos, video, and other content at events for use across marketing channels.
- Help maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across all League communications and materials.
- Travel as necessary to accomplish duties and responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.
Member Engagement & Business Development:
- Attend Chapter meetings and credit union events throughout the Commonwealth to build visibility, deepen relationships, and represent the League.
- Gather and relay member feedback to League leadership to inform programming, advocacy, and business development strategy.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated copywriting, editing, and proofreading ability.
- Experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or a comparable role.
- Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and familiarity with scheduling and management tools.
- Working proficiency with design tools such as Canva and with website content management systems.
- Working proficiency with CRM and email marketing tools (HubSpot preferred), including reporting on activity and engagement.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, especially in maintaining accuracy, quality, and brand consistency across materials.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues, members, and vendors.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within Kentucky for events and member activities.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience working at or for a credit union.
- Familiarity with credit union products, services, and the broader cooperative movement.
- Experience in League service, association, or nonprofit marketing or communications.
- Experience with graphic design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with email marketing, marketing analytics, or basic photography and video.
- Experience planning, promoting, and executing networking or member events.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.

Pay: $41,397.00 - $64,280.00 per year
