About the Role

We are seeking a Controls Systems Specialist to apply engineering expertise to refine manufacturing processes and products. This role involves optimizing production and assembly operations, influencing the design of equipment, and guiding vendors on tool design. The ideal candidate will leverage troubleshooting skills to resolve issues and provide electrical guidance in instrument selection.

Responsibilities

Maintain plant manufacturing control and data acquisition systems to ensure seamless operations.
Design and implement user-friendly interfaces between manufacturing systems and operators.
Address control system issues, including PLC programming and PC-controlled systems, to minimize downtime.
Modify equipment programs to facilitate continuous manufacturing improvements.
Oversee the planned maintenance of electrical infrastructure to ensure reliability.
Train personnel in PLC operation and manufacturing network maintenance to build internal expertise.
Manage projects, including budget and timeline development, to drive efficiency.
Act as a liaison between manufacturing engineering and equipment control, resolving motion-related issues.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing or product engineering.
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, CAD software, and industrial robot programming.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and RSLogix software.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with National Instrument Labview and vision systems like Cognex and Keyence.
Experience programming and troubleshooting servo systems.
Experience with Motoman robot interfaces.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish.
