Employment Coordinator – Work Unlimited ProgramJoin the Upper Valley Services Team

Upper Valley Services (UVS) is one of Vermont's designated nonprofit agencies supporting people with developmental disabilities and adults who are eligible for Adult Family Care. We are committed to helping individuals live meaningful lives in their communities through person-centered services, advocacy, and support. Our mission-driven team works every day to create opportunities for independence, inclusion, employment, and personal growth.

UVS is seeking a reliable, organized, and passionate Employment Coordinator to join our Work Unlimited Team. This position plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve their employment goals and access meaningful opportunities in the workforce.

Position Summary

The Employment Coordinator works closely with individuals receiving services, employers, Service Coordinators, and the Supported Employment Program Manager to ensure successful employment outcomes. This role is responsible for coordinating supports and services, assisting individuals in pursuing their employment goals, and fostering positive relationships that promote long-term success in the workplace. An essential aspect of the position is the ability to network with employers to find new partnerships/ workplaces for our individuals.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, effective problem-solver, and collaborative team member who is committed to empowering individuals through meaningful employment opportunities.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will possess:

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
A dependable and collaborative approach to teamwork
Proficiency with technology and computer-based systems, specifically MS Office
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging or emergency situations
A person-centered approach and commitment to supporting individuals in achieving their goals

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or a related field preferred
Relevant combinations of education, training, and professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, supported employment, human services, or related fields preferred
Minimum of three years of supervisory, administrative, program coordination, or related professional experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships, coordinate services, and support individuals in achieving their goals
