Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a CT Technologist, where your expertise in advanced medical imaging will make a vital difference in patient care. This role offers the unique benefit of housing support, ensuring you can focus fully on delivering exceptional diagnostic services. As a key member of our radiology department, you'll operate state-of-the-art CT scanners, perform detailed imaging procedures, and uphold the highest standards of radiation safety and patient care. Your skills in various radiologic techniques will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Operate computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for various medical conditions.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes, positioning them accurately, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself during all imaging procedures.
Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to assist in diagnostic evaluations, including emergency room assessments and trauma cases.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment calibration records.
Assist with other radiologic imaging modalities such as fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology procedures as needed.
Ensure all medical equipment is operated correctly and perform routine quality control checks to uphold imaging standards.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CT scanners with a strong understanding of radiologic imaging equipment operation.
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
Prior experience working in urgent care settings or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred.
Familiarity with radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols across various imaging modalities.
Ability to perform diverse procedures including PET scans, interventional radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine techniques.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse patient populations.
Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred).
Additional experience in emergency medicine or trauma center environments will be considered an asset.
