Position Overview: The purpose of this position is to assemble and laser mark production and/or prototype devices/articles, customer products (instruments and/or implants) using hand tools; ensuring customer requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the Marle’s quality policy and quality objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assemble devices/articles/customer products (instruments and/or implants) according to the customer’s drawing specifications and EM specifications.
- Laser mark devices/articles/ customer products (instruments and/or implants) according to the customer’s drawing specifications and EM specifications.
- Inspect, measure and test manufactured product.
- Determine whether product conforms to product specifications.
- Prevent damage, through carelessness, to the equipment or process used in the performance of the job.
- Follow quality management system procedures.
- Follow Marle’s safety and environmental procedures.
- Follow written and verbal directions from supervisor/manager/company officials.
- Work with all departments to provide assistance as necessary.
- Perform non-routine tasks assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- High school education with a trade course certification from a college or a technical school preferred;
- 3+ years of work experience in assembly or laser marking of medical devices;
- equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills/Other Abilities:
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers and fractions in English and Metric System. Ability to use handheld calculator. Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Physical Skills: Ability to use standard measuring and testing devices such as, but not limited to: calipers, micrometer, height gage, pin gage, radius gage, optical comparator, depth micrometer, etc. Ability to use hand tools such as, but not limited to wrenches, screwdriver, Allen wrench, etc.
Trade Knowledge: Ability to read complicated drawings and specifications. Other Skills & Abilities: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Mastercam or SolidWorks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
