About the Role

As a Lead CNC Manufacturing Programmer, you will drive precision and efficiency in high-stakes production environments by developing advanced multi-axis machining solutions. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing workflows and mentoring technical staff to ensure the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Design, refine, and implement complex multi-axis CNC programs using advanced CAD/CAM software to achieve superior component quality.
Enhance production throughput by engineering optimized cutting strategies and standardizing machining processes.
Validate new CNC programs on equipment, performing real-time adjustments to ensure precision and compliance.
Develop comprehensive technical documentation and provide hands-on training to machine operators for seamless production transitions.
Champion cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects to elevate overall manufacturing performance.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the programming team, fostering a culture of precision and collaborative problem-solving.
Manage the integrity of the master CNC program library to maintain strict regulatory and operational standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Minimum of 5 years of professional CNC programming experience, with at least 3 years dedicated to CAD/CAM systems.
Expertise in programming multi-axis mills and mill-turn lathes using platforms like Siemens NX or similar software.
Deep technical knowledge of machining dynamics, including tooling selection, feed/speed optimization, and GD&T.
Proven ability to thrive in highly regulated manufacturing environments requiring strict adherence to quality protocols.
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude, specifically regarding trigonometry and complex problem-solving.

Preferred Skills

Technical degree or relevant college certification in manufacturing or engineering.
Experience contributing to equipment validation and the procurement of new machining technology.
Demonstrated history of leading cross-functional projects and driving process standardization.
