Full Job Description

KP Staffing Memphis is now hiring quality engineers for a company that manufactures medical devices in Olive Branch, MS!

Job Summary

The quality engineer will ensure quality standards in a fast-paced environment by supporting metrology, GD&T, CAPA, validation, training, complaint handling, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will also support regulatory compliance, procedure writing, customer communication, and project execution.

$85k to $110k

Duties

Perform dimensional inspections using metrology equipment
Ensure accuracy and traceability of measurement systems
Interpret and apply GD&T principles to product designs and inspection processes
Lead investigations of quality issues, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
Monitor and document CAPA activities to ensure timely closure and regulatory compliance
Support validation activities for equipment, processes, and software including IQ, OQ, and PQ
Develop validation protocols and reports
Develop and deliver training on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
Ensure training compliance for quality-related processes and systems
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency
Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce defects
Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions
Communicate findings and resolutions to customers
Serve as a point of contact for quality-related customer discussions
Collaborate with customers to resolve quality issues and support audits and assessments
Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and EU MDR requirements
Maintain accurate documentation to meet regulatory and customer requirements
Develop, review, and update quality system procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria
Support internal auditing activities
Analyze data and assist in planning, executing, and finalizing projects

Responsibilities

Lead investigations of quality issues and CAPA activities
Develop and deliver training to team members and operators
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Serve as a customer liaison for quality-related discussions
Support customer audits and quality assessments

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in the medical device industry with a focus on quality assurance
Strong knowledge of metrology, CAPA, GD&T, engineering drawings, and validation processes
Proficiency with metrology equipment and software
Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory standards
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong written and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or ASQ quality engineer certification is a plus
