Full Job Description

Senior Tax Accountant – Technology Focus

Help lead a forward-thinking tax practice where advisory expertise, team leadership, and technology-enabled service delivery intersect. The Senior Tax Advisor is a client-facing professional responsible for advanced tax planning, return review, team development, and operational excellence. This role is well suited for an experienced tax professional who wants to shape better client experiences, mentor growing professionals, and help the firm adopt AI-enabled workflows, automation, and connected systems that improve quality, scalability, and responsiveness.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
CPA or EA credential preferred.
3+ years of public accounting and tax experience.
Experience reviewing complex individual, partnership, corporate, trust, and multi-state tax returns.
Strong leadership, mentoring, client relationship, and project management skills.
A proactive interest in using technology to strengthen client service, team productivity, and operational effectiveness.
Working understanding of workflow automation, data integrations, reporting tools, and API-enabled business applications.
Ability to evaluate emerging AI capabilities and identify practical business use cases in a professional services environment.

What You Will Lead

Review and oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
Provide advanced tax planning and advisory services to clients.
Coach, mentor, and develop team members.
Evaluate and implement practical improvements using AI-enabled research, document analysis, workflow automation, and knowledge management tools.
Partner with firm leadership to identify opportunities for automation and system integration.
Understand how business applications exchange information through connected systems and APIs.

Technology Focus

Manage tax filings and compliance while leading technology transformations like implementing tax software and automating workflows.
Maintain tax dashboards and workflow status reports using available platforms.
Implement and teach new software with confidence and adapt well as tools and workflows evolve.
Recognize the importance of data security, confidentiality, and responsible AI use.
Extract, clean, and analyze datasets to feed into tax workflows to reduce manual entry and streamline tax workflow.
