Full Job Description

ESS Clinical is seeking qualified School Psychologists to provide school-based services within Denver Public Schools (DPS) for the 2026–2027 school year. Full-time and part-time positions are available for professionals dedicated to supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Pay starting from $69/hr up to $79/hr

W2 and 1099 options available

No non-competes in our contracts

Required Qualifications

Ed.S. or doctoral degree in School Psychology, or another qualifying Colorado-approved preparation pathway.
Appropriate Colorado Special Services Provider (SSP) license with a School Psychologist endorsement (ages 0–21), or eligibility to obtain the required Colorado credential.
Completion of required school psychology practicum and internship requirements.
Qualifying school psychology internship experience.
Ability to provide school-based psychological services to students from birth through age 21.
Strong assessment, evaluation, report-writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school teams.
Ability to manage multiple evaluations, meetings, documentation, and deadlines.
Successful completion of required background checks and credentialing requirements.

Colorado Licensure Requirements

Candidates must meet the applicable requirements established by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for the School Psychologist endorsement.

Potential qualification pathways may include:

Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) certification.
Completion of a qualifying Ed.S. or doctoral program in School Psychology.
Completion of required practicum and internship experiences.
Required examination requirements, including the Praxis School Psychologist examination, when applicable.
A qualifying Colorado psychologist license combined with the required school psychology preparation and experience.
Other Colorado-approved licensure or reciprocity pathways.

The standard Colorado school psychologist pathway includes an approved specialist-level or doctoral program, required practicum experiences, and a qualifying internship that includes 1,200 clock hours, with at least 600 hours in a school setting.

Candidates who hold an out-of-state school psychology license should be prepared to provide documentation for Colorado credential review.
