Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a vital member of our medical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, ensuring the health and well-being of our patients. Specialty Hospital is a 32 bed long term acute care hospital (LTAC). Your expertise in infection control, aseptic techniques, telemetry and IV infusion will be essential in delivering safe and effective nursing care.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine healthcare needs.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients and families about health management and disease prevention.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols within the healthcare setting.
Provide care for patients in critical conditions within the high acuity unit of the LTAC.
Utilize Durable Medical Equipment (DME) effectively for patient support.

Skills

Proficient in infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Experience working in a telemetry unit or ICU environment preferred.
Strong clinical skills in IV infusion administration.
Ability to provide compassionate care.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
