About the Role
City Mattress is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Driver / In-Home Installer to join our Batavia distribution team.
This is a hands-on, physically active and customer-facing position responsible for safely delivering, installing, and setting up mattresses and furniture in our customers' homes.
The right candidate will have relevant professional driving experience, be comfortable with physical delivery and installation work, and understand the importance of providing professional service while working inside customers' homes.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate company delivery vehicles, including a 26-foot box truck
- Deliver mattresses, furniture, and related products to customer homes
- Load, unload, secure, carry, and place merchandise
- Complete product setup and installation
- Protect customers' flooring, walls, doorways, and property during deliveries
- Provide professional and courteous customer service throughout the delivery experience
- Assist with route execution and delivery documentation
- Inspect merchandise for quality and accuracy before delivery
- Complete store transfers and other product movement as needed
- Assist with warehouse operations, loading, organization, and housekeeping as needed
- Follow company safety, vehicle, and white-glove delivery standards
- Work collaboratively with the Lead Driver and distribution team
What We’re Looking For
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid, active driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Relevant professional driving experience; box truck or commercial vehicle experience strongly preferred
- Experience in physically demanding roles involving delivery, installation, setup, or handling of large/heavy products. Examples could include furniture, moving, HVAC, building materials, equipment, glass/window installation, home services, or similar hands-on work.
- Ability to safely operate or become proficient in operating a 26-foot box truck
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to professionally represent City Mattress while working in customers' homes
- Ability to lift and move furniture weighing 125 lbs.

Additional Information
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a schedule of Monday–Saturday, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM, with Sundays and one additional weekday off.
Candidates must currently live within daily commuting distance. Relocation assistance is not provided.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
