GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under the direction of the Director of Communications, the Research Communication Analyst is responsible for organizing facility data into clear and impactful communications and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Draft communication materials, including strategic planning documents for the Governor’s Office, New York State Legislature, and the NYS Gaming Commission.
2. Develop detailed annual reports to be presented to the Board of Directors that describe organizational outcomes and strategic initiatives.
3. Document the corporation’s strategic framework, including mission and vision statements, long-term goals, and 3-5 year business projections.
4. Conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative research to support strategic initiatives. Translate findings into clear, data-driven reports that assist in executive decision-making.
5. Work closely with the executive leadership team to organize provided data, align messaging, and ensure consistency and clarity in all formal communications.
6. Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and generate regular performance reports to track achievement against organizational goals.
7. Assist the Finance department with reporting required for the vendor fee legislation.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in accessible language. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software. Proficient in data analysis tools and presentation software.
ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
A four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university in public policy, communications, political science, business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of the foregoing experience and training sufficient to indicate the ability to effectively perform the required duties of the position.
Must be approved for and maintain a valid Video Lottery Gaming Non-Key Employee license and racing license issued by the New York State Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds at a time, move files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand, as necessary. The person in this position must be able to talk and hear in order to ensure proper communication.

Pay: $61,800.00 - $81,370.00 per year
