The Pricing Manager will report to the Store Director and work collaboratively with the Category Managers of fresh and center store. Additionally, they will support the operations teams and advise on best practices. This individual is experienced with strategic decision-making activities, motivated, self-confident, humble, collaborative, and passionate about the business – outwardly demonstrating the company's values.

Required skill sets:

· Extensive supermarket pricing program experience as the lead or part of a pricing team that focuses on center store departments

· Price optimization tools experience (AC Nielsen Price Optimization tool a plus)

· Knowledge and experience with EDLP pricing strategies and tactics

· Competition pricing program and general center store pricing experience

· Knowledge of shelf edge signing programs and experience with Pangea would be a plus

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Oversee price generation and provide pricing insights. Work with category managers on pricing guidelines and make pricing recommendations. Troubleshoot and resolve pricing errors.

· Manage the EDLP, KVI, and KCI programs along with Private Label price relationships updating and inputting retails accordingly and communicating information to the stores.

· Analyze category profitability inclusive of regular and promotional retails, and scorecard performance and monitor competitive indices.

· Execute and maintain the price survey process acquiring information from a variety of sources. Compiling information and making price changes to meet competitive objectives.

· Visit stores and evaluate processes and conditions and monitor the shelf edge and signing program execution offering course correction and improvement suggestions as necessary.

· Supervising, coaching, and providing feedback to direct and indirect reports helping them attain performance excellence in all areas or responsibility.

· Visiting competition to stay current on category trends and retail pricing competitiveness.

· Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with team members, vendors and suppliers.

· Communicating effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization and with external partners

· Completing special projects, as directed by senior management

· Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

· Deep knowledge of the retail supermarket business, competitive environment and EDLP pricing strategy and tactics

· Comfortable with data analytics and dashboards

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office systems, especially Excel

· Strong analytical skills; experience with internal and external source data such as Nielsen, IRI, Spectra, etc. preferred

· Must be able to work weekdays and be available weekends when required
