Join a nursing team in Baton Rouge, LA as a Registered Nurse (RN). This 13-week contract is ideal for a skilled clinician who is comfortable providing patient-centered care, coordinating treatment needs, and working collaboratively with healthcare professionals in a correctional care setting.

Requirements:

Current, unencumbered Louisiana RN license.

Job Details:

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Base Hours: 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: $46/hr local, $27/hr travel, plus $1,150 stipend
Shift Type: Days
Shift Hours: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary:

SnapCare is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in correctional care to join our healthcare team. As an RN, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of patients in a correctional care setting. The RN must have experience monitoring a broad range of medical conditions, applying nursing principles and practices, and providing professional nursing care under minimal supervision in a variety of settings.

Qualifications:

Current, unencumbered Louisiana RN license.
AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities:

Provide empathetic and compassionate nursing care to patients in a correctional care setting, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and document patients’ medical histories accurately.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to create individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
Safely administer medications and perform necessary treatments.
Monitor vital signs closely to support patient safety and comfort.
Coordinate patient care by scheduling tests, consultations, and referrals as needed.
Communicate effectively with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support positive patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate medical records and follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
