Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for CNC milling, using 5-Axis Mill, Wire EDM. This would be working in a foundry environment.

Duties

Set up CNC machining tools, fixtures, and tooling to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Utilize measurement instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control and precision measurement.
Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Troubleshoot machine issues related to CNC programming, tooling, or mechanical setup.
Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA for engineering CAD design and schematic review.
Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for accurate part manufacturing.
Maintain detailed documentation of programs, tooling setups, and process parameters.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing machining data and implementing process enhancements.

Qualifications

Proven experience in CNC programming with Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent engineering CAD design tools.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes involving CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and 5-axis CNC machines.
Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
Experience with CNC tooling setup and machining tool selection.
Mechanical knowledge combined with an understanding of geometry principles relevant to precision machining.
Ability to interpret schematics and electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency improvements.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in quality control measures.
Strong math skills relevant to programming calculations and measurement accuracy.

Pay: $28.45 - $34.26 per hour
