Title

Oncology Program Coordinator - Full Time (80 Hours per pay period)|Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm |Bronson Oncology & Hematology Specialists - Kalamazoo

Provides program support to a variety of oncology-programs including tumor board coordination, multidisciplinary clinics scheduling, and research support among others. Works closely with leadership, oncology quality/safety coordinator, nurse navigators, and other oncology staff to coordinate programs that result in successful operational outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Proficiency and previous experience with Epic preferred.
3 years of experience in a Health setting, Oncology preferred
Must be able to operate and perform computer programs associated with documentation and record keeping in the department including word-processing, spreadsheets, and healthcare-based systems
Must have the ability to multi-task and quickly change priorities, sometimes with no advance notice.
Must have ability to interact with verbal and written requests from various levels, including management, co-workers, and providers
Must demonstrate leadership and organization skills including the ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

Tumor Board Coordination
- Create Case Findings and Case List
- Communicate effectively to Tumor Board participants - send case list, request pathology if needed from other facilities, acquire imaging from other facilities
- Administer Tumor Boards – prep for tumor board, take attendance, take notes as needed
- Apply for CME status and handle CME communication
Multidisciplinary Clinic Scheduling and Flow
- Assist with scheduling patients
- Assist with chart prep for patients
- Coordinate with other physician practices for any patient needs
Research Support
- Screen eligible patients for research studies
- Perform data entry for research studies and patients
- Assist with research patient scheduling
Genetic Counseling Program Support
- Serve as a backup to the Genetic Assistant
- Process referrals when needed
- Schedule patients, send packets when needed
Oncology Program Support
- Other duties as assigned
- Schedule events, education, clinics as needed
