Job Overview

Join our vibrant culinary team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook, where your passion for food and dedication to excellence will shine! In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting the overall flow of food service. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a lively, team-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas in compliance with food safety standards
Assist in meal preparation for daily service, catering events, or special functions
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality at all times
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timing and ensure smooth operations
Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages or equipment issues

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques is highly desirable
Strong knife skills, slicing techniques, and proficiency with various kitchen tools are beneficial
Understanding of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments is essential
Experience with catering or large-scale food preparation demonstrates adaptability and teamwork skills
Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and ensure timely service

Pay: $10.00 - $17.00 per hour
