Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Cake Decorator. In this role, you will bring artistic flair and precision to the creation of beautifully decorated baked goods, ensuring each cake meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your creativity will delight customers and elevate their special moments, while your expertise in food preparation and pastry techniques will contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced food industry environment. Duties

Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, icing, and other decorative elements to create visually stunning products
Follow detailed recipes and adhere to specified decorating techniques to ensure consistency and quality in every item
Also assist in the Deli operation of the store as this is a Deli Bakery Combo department.
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, stoves, fryers and decorating tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all food safety standards are met at all times
Package finished products securely for delivery or display, ensuring presentation remains pristine
Assist in food production tasks including baking, pastry preparation, deli preparations, Customer service, and ingredient handling as needed

Skills

Extensive experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food production environments
Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Strong knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of baked goods
Knowledge of food safety management practices to maintain a clean workspace and ensure product safety
Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining high-volume production standards
Excellent customer service skills to understand client preferences and deliver exceptional results
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
Familiarity with food handling regulations within the food industry or restaurant settings
Culinary experience that includes baking, cooking, and food preparation techniques
Strong attention to detail with an artistic eye for design and presentation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
