Summary:
The Production Supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, and controls activities of workers engaged in production by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions:
Utilizes production schedules to schedule staffing, assign job duties and meet run rates.
Develops and executes a process plan including people, resources, equipment, and floor space.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.
Drives a culture of continuous improvement by recommending measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Responsible for onboarding, training, coaching and engagement of Seafood Processors, Leads, and Machine Operators.
Maintains time and production records through Ceridian, Excel and other workflows.
Learns activities of all workers and performs if needed.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Responds to grievances accordingly and works with subordinates, and human resources to discuss and eliminate problems.
Ensures products conform to specifications and meet all food safety and quality (FSQA) requirements. Prioritizes Good Manufacturing Practices with team members.
Engages with Trident Performance System through Kaizen participation, pillar team membership, and workstream ownership.
Works with maintenance associates to achieve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) goals. If performance is not met, completion of Root Cause Analysis to eliminate recurrence.
This role is non-exempt at $32 to $45 per hour.

Required Qualifications:
One year of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education & Experiences:
Three years supervisory experience preferably in food production
Continuous Improvement training (Green Belt, Six Sigma, etc)
HACCP Certification
HS Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated knowledge of production workflow.
Strong Skills in communication.
Strong Skills in Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to collaborate across departments
Ability to read and understand Product Specifications.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and moving mechanical parts
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. May be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
Work Ability Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.
