Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Dealership General Sales Manager to lead our automotive sales team to new heights. This energetic role requires a passionate leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at building strong customer relationships, and has a proven track record in vehicle sales. As the driving force behind our dealership’s sales success, you will oversee all aspects of the sales process, develop strategic sales initiatives, and motivate your team to achieve and surpass sales targets. Your expertise in automotive industry sales, B2B (business-to-business) interactions, and customer service will be essential in delivering exceptional experiences to our clients while ensuring operational excellence.

Duties

Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, including outbound prospecting, cold calling, and upselling techniques to expand the dealership’s customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills, negotiation prowess, and personalized customer service.
Oversee the entire sales pipeline from lead generation through deal closing, ensuring a seamless customer journey using CRM software supported by technical systems.
Conduct regular training sessions on automotive financing options, inventory management, retail math, and effective phone etiquette to enhance team performance.
Manage inventory control and dealership marketing efforts to attract new customers while retaining existing ones.
Organize outreach initiatives to promote dealership offerings and strengthen brand presence within the local market.

Requirements

Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targets through strategic planning and effective client communication.
Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to upsell and close deals efficiently.
Strong organizational skills with experience managing a sales pipeline, inventory control, and CRM systems (technically supported).
Exceptional communication skills including public speaking, phone etiquette, and client relationship building techniques.
Knowledge of automotive financing options, outbound sales strategies, and automotive industry trends is essential.
Ability to lead a team through coaching, motivation, and performance management while fostering a positive work environment.
