Full Job Description

We are a growing transportation company seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to join our Credit Department as a Credit & Accounts Receivable Support Specialist. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in credit, collections, accounts receivable, and transportation operations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys problem-solving, communicates professionally, and takes pride in providing exceptional internal and external customer service. This role will provide hands-on experience across multiple areas of the credit department with opportunities for growth into collections, customer onboarding, and account management responsibilities.

Qualifications

Previous administrative, customer service, accounts receivable, banking, finance, or transportation experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
High School diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or related experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Credit Department Support

Answer incoming phone calls and provide professional assistance to customers and internal team members.
Monitor department email inboxes and respond to requests for invoice copies, supporting documentation, and account information.
Save and maintain ACH payment notifications and supporting records.
Forward customer disputes and account concerns to the appropriate collections’ representative for resolution.
Send revised invoices and supporting documentation as requested.

Accounts Receivable & Credit Administration

Accurately post customer payments and cash receipts to the appropriate invoices and accounts.
Assist with account research and payment reconciliation activities.
Pull and review credit reports for prospective customers and establish credit limits in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.

Customer Onboarding & System Support

Accurately enter and maintain new customer information within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
Assist with new customer onboarding processes, including documentation collection and account setup requirements.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
