Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Hotel Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel and ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining Marriott brand standards and company policies. This position works closely with the General Manager and department leaders to ensure smooth and efficient operations across the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and other operational departments.
Ensure consistent delivery of excellent guest service and promptly address guest concerns or complaints.
Supervise, coach, train, and support department employees and supervisors.
Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor staffing levels, schedules, attendance, productivity, and overall employee performance.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development.
Work closely with the General Manager on operational goals, budgets, labor management, and cost control.
Monitor hotel occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and other key operational and financial performance indicators.
Coordinate with the sales and revenue management teams to maximize hotel performance.
Ensure proper handling of cash, payments, deposits, and financial procedures.
Work with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Monitor housekeeping and maintenance standards to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and hotel facilities.
Assist with scheduling and operational planning during high-occupancy periods and special events.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
Assist with resolving maintenance, engineering, and facility-related issues.
Maintain accurate operational records and reports.
Participate in management meetings and provide updates on operational performance and challenges.
Serve as the Manager on Duty when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications

Previous hotel management or supervisory experience required.
Experience in a full-service or select-service hotel environment preferred.
Marriott experience is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of front office and general hotel operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when required.
Proficiency with hotel systems and Microsoft Office.
Ability to work effectively with employees, guests, vendors, and management.
