Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic financial team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee a broad spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and delivering accurate financial reporting. Your expertise will support strategic decision-making, maintain regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in public accounting, corporate finance, tax law, and auditing, with a proven track record of managing complex financial projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory reporting requirements.
Conduct detailed audits, ensuring adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and internal control standards.
Manage tax reporting processes, including individual, corporate, and estate tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
Provide expert guidance on tax law, estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law to clients seeking comprehensive financial solutions.
Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
Support mergers & acquisitions by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for bookkeeping, financial analysis, and reporting.
Assist clients with financial planning, asset management, investment strategies, and non-profit accounting as needed.
Ensure compliance with securities law and regulatory requirements across various financial transactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, analyze variances, and interpret financial reports for strategic planning.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding tax strategies, audit findings, and financial recommendations.

Skills

Extensive experience in public accounting with a focus on tax compliance and corporate accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms.
Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, technical accounting principles, and regulatory compliance accounting.
Expertise in tax law related to individual tax returns, corporate tax strategies, estate planning, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and securities law.
Demonstrated ability to perform audits under SOX regulations and ensure internal control effectiveness.
Excellent analytical skills for financial report writing and interpretation of complex financial data.
Effective client communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
Familiarity with mergers & acquisitions processes and private equity transactions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
