American Thermowell is seeking a Packaging, & Inspection Technician to take on the task of sharing our local vision.

Skills & Responsibilities

Inspection & Quality Control

Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with company specifications.
Verify dimensions, labeling, quantities, and overall product condition.
Identify, document, and report quality issues or non-conforming products.
Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
Ensure products meet customer and company standards before shipment.

Packaging

Package products according to company procedures and customer requirements.
Select appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transport.
Label packages accurately with shipping and product information.
Verify order quantities and contents before shipment.
Maintain a clean and organized packaging area.

Shipping

Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, and bills of lading.
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and freight providers.
Load and unload trucks safely using appropriate equipment.
Track shipments and communicate delivery status as needed.
Assist with inventory counts and inventory management activities.
Ensure all shipments are completed accurately and on schedule.

Warehouse Operations

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely (if certified).
Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety standards.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, packaging, or quality inspection experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing lists, and inspection documents.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/shipping software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Performance Expectations

Maintain high packaging accuracy and quality standards.
Meet shipping deadlines and production schedules.
Maintain accurate inventory and shipment records.
Follow all safety and quality procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse operations.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Fast-paced environment
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

This is a full-time day shift position in our Kountze Texas facility where the individual may be required to work weekends and overtime from time to time.
