Armed Security Officer

Position Summary
JG&A Company USA, LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented Armed Security Officers to provide protective services at a bar and entertainment venue in Beaumont, Texas. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patrons, staff, performers, and property while enforcing venue policies and responding appropriately to incidents.
Successful candidates must demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism under pressure, and the ability to de-escalate confrontational situations while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and disorderly conduct.
- Verify patron entry in accordance with venue policies and applicable laws.
- Monitor entrances, exits, emergency exits, and designated restricted areas.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols throughout assigned shifts.
- Respond promptly to disturbances, fights, disruptive behavior, or suspicious activity.
- De-escalate conflicts using verbal communication and conflict resolution techniques whenever practical.
- Remove unauthorized or disorderly individuals from the premises in accordance with Texas law and company policy.
- Protect employees, guests, entertainers, vendors, and company assets.
- Coordinate with venue management during emergencies or operational incidents.
- Notify local law enforcement, EMS, or fire personnel when appropriate.
- Document incidents accurately through written reports before the end of each shift.
- Monitor parking areas when assigned to help reduce theft, vandalism, and disturbances.
- Maintain situational awareness regarding occupancy levels, crowd behavior, and potential safety hazards.
- Safeguard company-issued radios, uniforms, and other equipment.
- Perform all duties in accordance with JG&A Company USA, LLC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Possess a valid Texas driver's license or state-issued identification.
- Hold a current Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer license issued under Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1702.
- Legally authorized to possess and carry a firearm while performing commissioned security duties.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pass all required background investigations and drug screening (if applicable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during high-stress situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Military service.
- Law enforcement experience.
- Prior armed security experience in bars, nightclubs, entertainment venues, or hospitality.
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
- TABC Seller-Server Certification.
- Experience preparing detailed incident reports.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work primarily during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Respond quickly to emergencies involving running, climbing stairs, or assisting individuals.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
Equipment
Officers may be required to carry or utilize:
- Duty firearm
- Duty belt and approved defensive equipment
- Portable radio
- Flashlight
- Body armor (when assigned)
- Company-issued uniform and identification

Schedule
