About Riceland Healthcare

Riceland Healthcare is a physician-led healthcare system serving Beaumont and Southeast Texas through primary care, specialty clinics, imaging, surgery, behavioral health, home health, hospice, and more. As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our oncology services with a dedicated cancer center featuring a Varian Linear Accelerator for radiation therapy and an on-site infusion center.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Radiation Oncology & Cancer Center Program Administrator to help develop, launch, and manage this growing service line in collaboration with executive leadership and radiation oncology consultants.

Position Overview

The Radiation Oncology Program Administrator will oversee the planning, operational development, and day-to-day management of Riceland’s cancer center. This leadership role requires a hands-on professional who can coordinate across departments, manage operational workflows, support clinical teams, and help build a high-quality, patient-centered oncology program from the ground up.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Development & Implementation

Lead the operational setup and launch of the radiation oncology program and cancer center services.
Develop and implement workflows, operational policies, and patient care coordination processes.
Coordinate integration with imaging, surgery, infusion, clinics, home health, hospice, and related services.
Support accreditation readiness, regulatory compliance, and payer-related operational requirements.

Operations & Facility Management

Oversee daily operations of the cancer center, including front office, scheduling, patient access, and clinical coordination.
Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and support clinical and administrative staff.
Monitor staffing schedules and operational efficiency to support timely patient care and optimal use of the Varian Linear Accelerator.
Maintain a safe, organized, and survey-ready clinical environment.

Leadership & Cross-Department Collaboration

Serve as the primary administrative liaison between the cancer center and executive leadership.
Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, operational forecasting, and performance metrics.
Work closely with IT, Compliance, Quality, and Clinical departments to support operational success and reporting requirements.

Referral Development & Community Engagement

Partner with Marketing and Physician Relations to strengthen referral relationships with providers across Southeast Texas.
Support outreach initiatives, educational events, and communications regarding cancer center services.
Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and healthcare organizations.

Quality & Patient Experience

Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and operational performance indicators.
Support initiatives focused on patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
Assist with multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement activities.

QualificationsRequired

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of healthcare operations or practice management experience.
Experience managing staff, workflows, and clinical operations.
Strong organizational, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Experience in oncology, radiation oncology, imaging, or cancer center operations.
Prior experience launching or expanding a healthcare service line or facility.
Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Familiarity with oncology regulatory and accreditation standards.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary starting at $100,000 annually based on experience.
Sign-On Bonus up to $10,000.
Relocation Assistance up to $10,000 for qualified candidates relocating to the Beaumont/Southeast Texas area.
Eligibility for annual discretionary performance bonus.
