Beaumont District Maintenance is looking for a motivated person to run the warehouse, order inventory supplies, coordinate deliveries, answer phones, and help respond to the needs of the public in emergency situations. Position Description
Coordinates the receiving, storing and issuing of stock in a warehouse. Work requires contact with private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Warehouse Coordinator I:
Coordinates all warehouse stock including the receiving, storing and issuing of stock; as required, moves warehouse items using appropriate safety methods and tools.
Ensures incoming freight meets specifications and expected quality.
Ensures warehouse area and equipment are kept clean and properly maintained.
Enters and reads computer data relating to the issuance and receipt of stock.
Handles problems relating to incorrect or damaged stock.
Maintains hazardous materials data.
Monitors inventory levels to maintain stock at proper levels including: ordering materials, reducing surplus or obsolete stock, and minimizing back orders.
Operates fork-lift
Processes purchase orders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Coordinator II:
Disseminates warehouse related information to assure changes, deadlines, products, surpluses and excesses are communicated to appropriate departmental staff.
In a district: coordinates with district offices to determine material requirements for maintenance activities.
In a district: Serves as liaison between the district and local suppliers and between the district and the general services division.
Participates in planning, including maintenance and construction activities to ensure availability of necessary materials and equipment.
Coordinates and monitors hazardous waste material data, storage and disposal as outlined by state environmental guidelines.
Coordinates and monitors material requests and ensures that they are properly initiated and prepared for the ordering of required parts and materials.
Coordinates and performs spot checks and annual inventory.
Coordinates and monitors specifications to ensure that they are properly written and updated; bids for locally purchased materials and parts are processed in accordance with guidelines.
Reviews and interprets policy changes relating to warehouse operations.

Warehouse Coordinator III:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies
Experience:
Warehouse Coordinator I: 1 year warehouse operations or related work experience.
Warehouse Coordinator II: 3 year warehouse operations or related work experience.
Warehouse Coordinator III: 5 year warehouse operations or related work experience.
(Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). College education and/or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.

To include all competencies from a level I Warehouse Coordinator.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Subject to environmental conditions: protection from weather but not temperature changes.
Subject to noise.
Subject to vibration.
Subject to hazards-moving vehicles/mechanical parts, high places/heat, or chemicals.
Subject to atmospheric conditions-fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation.
Required to wear protective gear-respirator, hard hat, or other device.
Medium Work: Lift up to 50 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 25 lbs.
Reaching-extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Talking-expressing or exchanging ideas by spoken word.
Visual acuity-operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
