Current Opening:

Our Portland, Oregon office seeks a dedicated Office Manager with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our team. This team member is integral to managing the day-to-day operations of our Portland office to ensure smooth operation of our law firm.

Our ideal candidate is reliable, empathetic, hard-working, quick on their feet, and eager to serve.

Key Working Factors to consider:

Your primary base of work is from the Portland office.
Our firm operates with urgency, candor, and resilience to appropriately work through high pressure situations with grace and ease.
We leave nothing to chance and have processes in place to guide you.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM.

Office Manager:

As office manager, you will help facilitate the day-to-day operations of our Portland office. Some common responsibilities would include (but are not limited to) the following:

Oversee daily office operations to ensure the firm runs smoothly
Manage administrative staff, kitchen staff, legal support staff, and telephone operator employees, schedules, and workloads
Coordinate between different SKH offices, facilities, vendors, supplies, and office maintenance
Handle budgeting, billing support, and expense management
Coordinate transportation, rides, and conference room scheduling
Maintain inventory and ensure office and kitchen supplies are fully stocked
Assist with planning and executing firm events and meetings
Review and approve employee timesheets
Draft, implement, and maintain office policies and procedures
Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, off boarding for Portland and additional locations as needed
Participate in department meetings
Conduct annual performance evaluations and goal setting for employees
Oversee and maintain accurate, confidential employee personnel files
Manage employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes
Lead employee benefit programs, enrollment, and processes

Requirements:

Natural talent for staying organized and productive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
Crisis Management and conflict resolution
Excellent oral and written communications.
Superior attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Experience in an administrative support or customer service role and/or 1-2 years of relative office experience is preferred.
Enthusiastic about teamwork; able to adapt and think quick, remain professional.
Professional in attire.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
