Functional Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business and product stakeholders to understand business requirements and contribute to the design of secure, and scalable solutions.
Contribute to the design of high-level architecture, technical documentation, and data schema designs.
Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and APIs for our SaaS products.
Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to architectural principles and best practices.
Collaborate on end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
Utilize best practice coding standards, development methodologies to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Contribute to planning meetings and collaborate with software engineers and data scientists for backlog refinement and cross-team cooperation.
Successfully operate within an Agile environment, mentoring, motivating, and collaborating with internal software development engineers and outsourced resources.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the engineering team and other departments, to meet business goals.
Can effectively work and collaborate in a remote / distributed environment at an exciting, fast-paced digital health tech startup.

Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6-8 years of technical experience including hands-on programming and technical design
Significant experience as a Backend Developer, with a focus on SaaS.
Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps best practices
Knowledge and experience with Azure and Azure services and enterprise data lake solutions.
Experience with database management systems
Experience with AWS, Typescript, GraphQL SQL, Postgres, Databricks are preferred.
Understanding of general software and system design, RESTful APIs, Web tech fundamentals, and coding standards.
Willingness to provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers as needed.

Nice to Have:

Understanding of cybersecurity and privacy policy standards and best practices for maintaining SOC 2 certification and HIPAA compliance.
Knowledge of health care and digital health technology data is preferred for this role.
