Full Job Description

Creating accurate estimates for materials and labor to complete a project using architectural and designer plans

Roles & Responsibilities

Review plans for accurate takeoffs for materials and labor for all aspects of the millwork industry including but not limited to:

o Countertops

o Cabinets

o Reception Desks, Bars, Custom Millwork Pieces

o Trim, Base, Moldings

o Windowsills / Wall Caps

o Wall Paneling

o Logistics

o Installation (as required by project scope)

· Review addendum drawings for changes in scope of work and adjust pricing accordingly during bidding process

· Review changes according to the Project Managers request during the construction phase of the project and issue change order costs

· Communicate with General Contractors to interpret blueprints that are unclear

· Perform other related duties as necessary

Qualifications / Required Experience

· Ability to read & interpret architectural drawings

· Computer literate – ability to navigate using Windows & Microsoft applications. Desire & ability to learn additional applications as needed

· Ability to use basic measuring tools – tape measure, architects scale

· Ability / willingness to travel to job sites. Typically, within MN and home daily. Occasional out of state travel. Travel is minimal but can occur

· Well Organized, detail oriented and extremely accurate

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong math skills

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activities / projects at one time and meet deadlines

· Work under little supervision

· Proficiency in the English language in reading, writing, and speaking

Preferred Education / Skills

· Previous experience in commercial millwork, construction, or manufacturing industries

· Bluebeam Software

· Post-Secondary degree or certificate in job related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
