Position Description:

This position supports our manufacturing operations with duties across the paper making process. The successful candidate must be comfortable working with large machinery and on a rotating shift basis. All necessary training will be provided but we are looking for someone motivated to learn and grow our company.

Key Accountabilities include:

Working as part of a team to assist in paper making activities, including cutting cores, core set up, threading, splicing, inspection, and removing rolls.
Entering specific production data into the computer for all paper rolls produced.
Operate large crane to move spools of paper from the machine.
Completing required documentation, reporting, cleaning, and machine
wash-ups.
Ensuring the provision of raw materials for paper making.
Operating a forklift.
Monitoring material levels and restocking as required.

Position Requirements:

You need to be open to the possibilities of working a different shift schedule each week
You need to be reliable and dependable so that your team can count on you to be present and ready to work when scheduled
You need to be able to learn moderately complex systems
You need to be able to navigate through computer screens to locate information and accurately enter data into the system
You need to be comfortable with, and capable of, doing physical work – lifting up to 40lbs, standing for extended periods of time, bending, kneeling and climbing ladders

Most weekends are off but when weekend work is needed, premium pay is provided – time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
