About HairCEO

HairCEO is a modern, fully remote accounting firm serving self-employed beauty professionals, hairstylists, barbers, and salon owners. We help clients understand their numbers, stay compliant, and make informed financial decisions through bookkeeping, tax, and advisory services.

We are growing and looking for a Client Accounting & Tax Manager to lead our bookkeeping and tax operations, manage team members, review client work, improve processes, and help deliver an exceptional client experience.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage a remote team of bookkeeping and tax professionals
Review bookkeeping work and financial statements for accuracy and completeness
Review tax returns (1040s/1065/1120-S) and ensure quality standards are met
Coach and develop team members through feedback and training
Monitor client deliverables and ensure deadlines are met
Improve operational processes and workflows
Conduct client-facing financial statement and tax return reviews
Record Loom-style video reviews explaining financial results and tax matters to clients
Help maintain a high level of client satisfaction and retention

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, tax, or public accounting experience
Experience reviewing bookkeeping and financial statements
Experience reviewing tax returns
Experience supervising or managing team members
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable communicating with clients through video and virtual meetings
Experience working in a remote environment preferred
CPA or EA credential required.
Candidates actively pursuing CPA or EA licensure may also be considered if they have strong bookkeeping, tax review, and team leadership experience.

We leverage modern technology to serve our clients efficiently. Experience witht eh following tools is helpful but not required:

QuickBooks Online
TaxDome
ProConnect Tax
Loom
Google Workspace

Training will be provided on firm-specific workflows and processes.

Compensation & Benefits

$90,000 - $100,000 annual salary
