Job Title: Front Desk / Medical Assistant

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Southlake, Texas

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; lunch 1-2pm

About the Role

Alpha Men's Health is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Front Desk / Medical Assistant to join our team. This hybrid role is the first point of contact for our patients and a key part of the clinical care team, balancing front-office operations with hands-on medical assistant duties. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and comfortable discussing sensitive men's health topics with professionalism and discretion.

Key Responsibilities — Front Desk

Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out for all appointments.
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using the practice EMR/scheduling system.
Answer and route incoming phone calls, texts, and emails; respond promptly to patient inquiries.
Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and payment information; collect and securely store card-on-file information.
Process payments, co-pays, and invoices, and explain billing or pricing questions to patients.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and documentation within the EMR.
Keep the reception and waiting area clean, organized, and stocked with patient-facing materials.
Order and track front-office supplies and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Key Responsibilities — Medical Assistant

Room patients, take and record vital signs (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits, including gathering necessary supplies and equipment.
Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection; label and prepare samples for lab courier pickup.
Administer injections (e.g., testosterone, other prescribed medications) under provider supervision, per clinic protocol.
Assist the provider during exams and in-office procedures.
Clean, disinfect, and restock exam rooms and equipment between patients in accordance with infection-control standards.
Accurately document clinical information, vitals, and procedures in the EMR.
Provide patients with education materials, aftercare instructions, and answer basic care questions within scope of practice.
Communicate with pharmacies and labs as needed to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred; will consider relevant experience in lieu of certification.
Prior experience in a medical office front desk and/or medical assistant role required; experience in men's health, urology, or hormone/TRT clinics is a strong plus.
Phlebotomy training or certification preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Proficiency with EMR systems, scheduling software, and general office technology.
Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Professional demeanor and discretion when handling sensitive patient information and topics.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (supplies, equipment).
Manual dexterity for tasks such as phlebotomy, injections, and data entry.
Comfortable working around blood, needles, and clinical specimens.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
