Full Job Description

Die-Tech & Engineering, Inc. specializes in producing high pressure diecast and plastic injection tooling for a wide range of industries throughout the Midwest. We are seeking Apprentice Tool and Die Maker candidates who want the opportunity to join a team of skilled designers, machinists and die makers building high-quality American made tooling, and who are interested in gaining experience and ultimately Journeyman certifications in Die-cast and Plastic Injection Moldmaking.

Requirements and Position Details:

Willing to work as part of a team, have good communication skills.

Strong math and problem-solving skills.

Preferred experience in a manufacturing or technical setting, and an interest in metalworking/machinery, and an eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced trade.

Blueprint reading and interpretation skills and the ability to plan and execute manufacturing methods and sequence of operations to produce components to design specifications

Competency using and reading precision measurement tools and applying advanced shop math to ensure workpieces are made to design specifications

Operation and maintenance of Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, lathe, radial arm drill press, and the various hand tools required for the job

Must value ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers, working with heavy equipment and lifting/transporting large steel components with overhead hoists and fork trucks is inherently dangerous, and our employees health and safety is of our utmost concern.

Compensation: Industry Leading Wages - eligibility for up to 100% GRCC apprenticeship tuition reimbursement
