Full Job Description

CNC Machinist Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be a critical part of our production process by creating
parts and products which define GFC. You will be machining extrusion into beams for our Space Frame and billet into parts for our campers and accessories. You will be responsible for cutting, machining, and finishing various items using multi million dollar equipment including HAAS “big-bed” VF10s, HAAS DTs, and Universal Robotics Cobots. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, good time management and problem solving skills, and an initiative to get things done, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Education in CNC machining is a benefit but not required.

Qualifications:

A strong mechanical aptitude, good time management and problem solving skills, and an initiative to get things done.
CNC machining knowledge and experience is a plus, but not required.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precision parts.
Ability to troubleshoot issues with machinery and processes to maintain production efficiency.
Knowledge of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve production goals.

Core Responsibilities:

Operate machine tools such as HAAS VF10s, HAAS DT-1s, UR Cobots, and Tigerstop Saws to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Prepare and set up machines for operation, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are available.
Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to determine machining operations, dimensions, and tolerances.
Perform quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure conformance to specifications.
Maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Identify and resolve issues with machinery, tools, or finished products to maintain production efficiency and quality standards.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team, including engineers and assemblers, to optimize processes and troubleshoot problems.

This is a 4/10 shift schedule.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.50 per hour
