Full Job Description

Director of Nursing (DON) - RN | Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living | Belleville, IL

St. Pauls Rehab and Health Care Center is hiring a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Nursing Department. This is a 130-bed CCRC campus (108 skilled nursing beds, 22 assisted living beds) offering a larger scope of responsibility and a more sophisticated care setting.

Location: 1021 West E Street, Belleville, IL 62220

Schedule: Monday - Friday, staggered start times with some flexibility required. Schedules are set at least 4 weeks in advance. Rotating on-call coverage for holidays and weekends once staffing is stabilized.

Responsibilities:
As Director of Nursing, you will oversee the administration and management of Nursing Services for residents in accordance with physician orders and resident care needs. You will provide 24-hour oversight of the Nursing Department, maintain quality standards of care, and assume responsibility for center operations in the Administrator's absence.

You will directly oversee the ADON, Nurse Managers, an Infection Prevention Nurse, 2 MDS Coordinators, and additional nursing staff. This role reports to the Site Administrator.

Requirements:

Active RN license in Illinois (candidates in process of obtaining IL licensure will be considered, but must have a temporary IL license before start date)
Current BLS certification
5-10+ years of DON experience, preferably in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or Assisted Living setting - more experience preferred
ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
Infection Prevention (IP) Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain after hire
