Full Job Description

Rosenbaum Meier Personal Injury Lawyers, an established NYC personal injury firm, is seeking an organized and enthusiastic litigation paralegal to join our firm. This role is ideal for individuals with experience handling New York State personal injury cases, managing medical records, and supporting attorneys through litigation. Candidates without personal injury experience will NOT be considered.

Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!

Pay Range
$50,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on experience

This role is full-time and is on-site at our New York City office in downtown Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities

Obtain necessary authorizations for medical records as well as medical records
Draft and prepare summons and complaints, bills of particular, discovery demands and responses, and motions
Research and obtain documentation including insurance and social security information, medical records, and provider details
Prepare and organize materials needed for court appearances, pleadings, depositions, and trial
Provide general administrative support to the attorneys and perform additional duties as needed

Required Education and Experience

Minimum 3 years as a plaintiff personal injury paralegal; experience with trial is a plus!
Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s is preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus!
Experience with New York State court filing procedures and deadlines

Qualifications

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily to perform this job successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and case management systems. Experience with Filevine is a plus!
Experience organizing large document productions
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
