Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimizing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspections to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise will help drive precision, accuracy, and efficiency in our quality control processes, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about quality assurance, precision measurement, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Duties

Develop and write programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) using PC-DMIS or similar software to perform dimensional inspections on complex components.
Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to establish inspection criteria.
Conduct detailed dimensional inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and mechanical gauges.
Ensure all measurements comply with industry standards including ASME codes & standards, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100.
Collaborate with manufacturing and tooling teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection procedures for CNC machined parts.
Maintain accurate inspection records and generate detailed reports to support quality assurance documentation.
Participate in internal audits and support compliance with quality management systems by adhering to strict calibration schedules and calibration records.

Qualifications

Proven experience programming CMMs using PC-DMIS or Calypso software in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and dimensional inspection techniques.
Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and CNC operations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (medical devices), AS9100 (aerospace), and ASME codes & standards.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Schematics for interpreting design data.
Ability to perform precise measurements using tools like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and dial indicators.
Excellent math skills for interpreting measurement data and ensuring compliance with specifications.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex schematics and technical drawings accurately.
